Role:

As an Institutional Specialty Trading representative, you will be responsible for servicing all Veo & thinkpipes trade/allocation issues for advisors and their customers. These include, but are not limited to: futures, equity, mutual fund and option trades, as well as servicing all thinkpipes technology issues, and other service items.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct Client interface through the reception of inbound calls from TD Ameritrade's RIA clients
  • Process equity, option, mutual fund, and Futures orders received via phone, fax
  • Review and resolve any trade and/or allocation issues that result from Veo, thinkpipes, thinkorswim and/or Fix
  • Process advisor error corrections
  • Process dollar cost averaging (systematic) instructions faxed in by advisors and clients
  • Review and process liquidate and transfer instructions
  • Process foreign, complex option orders and not held trades for advisors and work directly with market centers to ensure proper execution
  • Assist with navigating and troubleshooting technology issues on thinkpipes
  • Provide instructional WebEx demonstrations to Institutional Advisors on thinkpipes and thinkorswim
  • Execute outbound calls to drive new users to the thinkpipes software
  • Review and critique new software builds both pre and post release to check for issues and generate new ideas for future functionality
  • Assist with the downloading and configuration of the thinkpipes software for new advisors to thinkpipes

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2-3 years of industry and customer service
  • Series 7, 63 and 3 Licensed
  • 3 years of previous experience handling options and futures trades
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Capable of quickly building good rapport with prospects and clients, assessing their needs and presenting features and benefits of TD Ameritrade's products and services
  • The ability to work independently with a high degree of quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Must be self-motivated and client service oriented
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure while remaining focused
  • Strong knowledge of securities regulations, basic corporate actions and reorganization items and market mechanics
  • Experience with stock, option and mutual fund trading
  • Experience using thinkorswim and/or thinkorswim admin a plus
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
