Director of Managed Solutions and Strategic Programs

The role will be expected to create a clear strategic vision for our Managed Account and Alternative Asset offerings that differentiates us from competitors, helps us attract and retain RIA clients and assets, and works seamlessly with the MAS Operations and MAS Sales teams. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for providing oversight and management of new strategic programs and exectuing on strategic program deliverables. 


  • Significantly contribute to the creation and implementation of the Managed Account and Alternative Investment strategic plans
  • Develop business cases and project plans for new and existing offerings that align with determined objectives and annual goals
  • Build and maintain a close working relationship with vendors and external business partners in order to understand and influence business strategies, priorities to ensure business objectives can be converted into effective products  and services
  • Work with technology developers, vendors and architects to monitor and enhance further product success  
  • Possess the ability to articulate the various MAS platforms we make available to both advisors and sales consultants
  • Participate in conference meetings with advisors and/or sales VPs to support the sales effort in terms of delivering MAS assets to our platform
  • Support a significant portion of the department’s annual net asset flow goals
  • Work with IBS in executing the product integration, training, offering and handling all other issues as they arise
  • Work with Marketing and Client Communications to promote product launches and events, develop collateral and create general external awareness of the MAS product suite
  • Monitor the status of client needs, priorities, and/or special projects as they align with business specific goals and objectives
  • Ensures each Associate has the tools and resources they need to succeed in their current role
  • Mentor and develop team members in an effort to continually increase their contributions to the firm


  • 4 Year College Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7-10 year of experience
  • Experience defining and designing managed platform solutions and alternative investment solutions
  • Strong understanding of managed account and alternative investment industry, products, and best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Technology and/or related field 
  • Minimum 7 years work-related experience in product and/or project role or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years managing a team  
  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry with an emphasis on the Registered Investment Advisor market
  • Strong communication and project management skills; capacity to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 20% travel is required
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
  • Series 7 and 66 Required
