Role:

The Retail Project Manager will be responsible for leading strategic programs and projects for the Digital Client Experience – Web and Research group and will work closely with key decision makers  to define the strategy and direction of each program  and all associated projects. The Project Manager will drive decisions, acquire resources from across the enterprise, coordinate activities across multiple projects, and manage cross functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of a project.  This individual must demonstrate superior leadership, communication and organizational skills in developing and executing strategy related to the management of projects and implementation of technology and business improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage the appropriate resources
  • Manage relationships with senior Retail leadership to ensure their needs and considerations are taken into account with regard to the execution of projects
  • Clarify scope and understand cross work stream and cross department dependencies
  • Establishes project level Steering Committee Meetings and reports to Sr. Management on the project’s progress, issues, risks and recent decisions
  • Interface with business owners to understand their needs and secure appropriate project buy-in/sign-off throughout project life cycle
  • Ensure functional and technical solutions are accepted by the appropriate project role prior to development
  • Liaison with key business partners in Technology, Product, Marketing, Communications, Training, Investor Services and Operations to ensure quality and timely execution of their respective work streams and projects
  • Manage project issues and risks

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles
  • Knowledge of core retail brokerage channels, most importantly call center and branch operations
  • Knowledge of internet and web infrastructure and capabilities
  • Entry level of knowledge of Agile scrum methodology
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) within all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience managing large projects and/or programs
  • Experience leading cross functional teams across various business units and functional disciplines
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to establish and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members, both on an individual and team level, with regards to achievement of project or program goals and objectives
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring peers
  • Ability to build and maintain close working relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Strong working knowledge of the Institutional business with subject matter expertise in core business processes, systems, and products
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed.
