As a Strategic Relationship Manager you will be successful by consulting with advisors in Michigan and Ohio to find the right solutions for their businesses.  You will educate and train advisors on the value, and benefits of TD Ameritrade’s Institutional products and services. You will anticipate client needs and business opportunities and proactively consult with the advisor to find the right solutions for their businesses.



  • Get to know our advisors in order to develop comprehensive solutions for their business.
  • Educate clients on products, services, benefits and features of the TD Ameritrade Institutional platform.
  • Influence positive change in the advisor operations through consulting on industry best practices.
  • Focus on the client experience by being responsive and courteous.
  • Be a student of the industry and stay up to date on new technologies, demographic shifts, and industry regulations to help advisors navigate the future.


We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, has passion and energy to deliver excellent client service, is a problem solver, has a positive attitude, curiosity, and an ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

  • Demonstrated transferable sales or relationship management skills from any industry.
  • Passion to help our clients and the team succeed.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred or to be obtained within 90 days after hire.
  • Superior communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the advisory business or willingness to learn it.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect for relationships, nurture and negotiate, provide creative solutions, and relate to people of all levels.
  • Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work related experience.
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed.
  • Extensive travel, up to 40%, is required to meet with advisors in Michigan and Ohio.
