The Release Coordinator is a 2nd ecosystem support role that focuses on ensuring all Core Technology Group (CTG) code, automation and system deployments are coordinated and delivered following standard policies, processes and best practices.  We are seeking detail oriented, well organized and technically minded individuals to embrace this high energy role of multitasking and coordination.


The Release Coordinator will:

  • Partner with legacy application groups, Independent Delivery teams, automation and system engineering  teams to understand and execute the delivery needs for each of their organizations. 
  • Interface with Quality Assurance to communicate application development and business needs.
  • Identify and escalate release concerns and delays  through appropriate channels to resolution.  
  • Responsible for securing and coordinating required resources for deployments.
  • Accountable for all release related reporting and communication.
  • Work with release stakeholders to continuously improve and refine the CTG release processes.
  • Document Implementation and rollback plans for large complex releases.


  • Coordinate Application Development and Production Support Activities into a plan.
    • Maintain a database of all development activity, identify and understand relative priorities of individual development efforts
    • Interface with Application Development Managers and Project Managers to understand Large Project delivery commitments and needs
    • Interface with Brokerage Operations Managers and Production Support managers to understand the urgency of Small Project Requests and Incident tickets so work can be executed in the proper order
    • Identify, track and communicate progress of deliverables that must be in production to meet critical regulatory or strategic objectives
    • Produces and distributes the Planning Agenda to a broad audience including representative from Brokerage and Technology Operations, Application Development, Change Management and Release Leads, and QA
    • Validate that all development artifacts that are required as per development and security policies are completed and stored in the appropriate repository. Follow up with individual developers when artifacts are not stored on time
    • Represent the Application teams through the change management lifecycle to request approval or report results
  • Work with all CTG groups to assist in planning BOS development schedules and release coordination. Maintain, coordinate and communicate schedules along with build content. 
  • Ascertain when newly raised issues result from previous develop activity
  • Organize the data into meaningful form
  • Report findings to departmental senior management
  • Analyze and report on work pending assignment of a developer
  • Collect and report on code release activity, efficiency, and quality. Collect and report on support services metrics and assist in ascertaining when newly raised issues are a result of previous development activity or legacy code. Provide regular updates on release content and status.  Provide monthly reports on completed activity and assist in gathering information on other CTG activities


  • 4 year degree in Computer Science, Project Management or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 4 or more years total experience, 3 or more years related experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the application development lifecycle. Agile process experience a plus.
  • Effective knowledge of both the application infrastructure and its components to the degree that they can be a spokesperson for the application and coordinate tasks with the QA and ETS teams.
  • Highly skilled with knowledge based worker tools such as MS Excel & Word. Must have the ability to program sophisticated functions in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills to develop a well-articulated plan and to work with managers to negotiate achievable priorities
  • Ability to Identify and Resolve conflicting priorities
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools a plus.
