Role:

The Senior Analyst, Compensation is an integral part of the compensation team supporting various business lines and responsible for total compensation support in non-sales areas.  Manages the day to day relationships regarding compensation in partnership with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business partners supported.  Responsible for managing the compensation needs for the portfolio, including:

  • Total Pay Management
  • Incentive Plan Design & Processing
  • Analytics
  • Project Management

Responsibilities:

  • Consult and partner with HRBPs and business leaders on compensation inquires, including promotional salary increases, offer support, responding to data requests
  • Job Evaluation through Market analysis, Pay Mix, Job Leveling and  FLSA
  • Provide recommendations by evaluating market and internal benchmarks, employee attrition, and business goals
  • Review the job levels for each role to ensure consistency and adherence to the level structure
  • Create and maintain job/incentive codes and other relevant compensation data
  • Participate in annual salary survey process for assigned business areas
  • Facilitate quarterly incentive and annual merit processes by providing supporting data to business partners.
  • Evaluate performance trends/distributions, attrition/retention rates, and perform ad-hoc research and analysis.  Identify strengths and weaknesses in assigned incentive plans and pay programs and present findings and recommendations to business partners
  • Assist with rolling out firm wide scorecard philosophy implementations that impact all Associates
  • Assume a lead role in establishing and executing project plans
  • Assist in the design of incentive plans for assigned Business groups.  Evaluate, back-test, and recommend design concepts and mechanics.  Forecast and model performance and payout distributions against budget and prior year.
  • Partner with HRBPs, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Compliance on a variety of cross-functional initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, I/O, Psychology, Finance or related field.
  • 4-6 years related experience
  • CCP and/or PHR certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical, project management, problem resolution and client service skills
  • Ability to maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point presentation skills with applied experience using complex compensation data
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities in a fast paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and collaborate with others
  • Understanding of FLSA regulations and experience evaluating jobs for exemption
  • Exhibits good judgment and logical reasoning
  • Knowledge of financial services industry landscape and current events a plus
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Comp Analyst preferred
