Content Manager - Temporary

As a Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating educational content and experiences that will help everyday people become better-informed investors. You’ll play a number of parts, including writer, storyteller, researcher, designer, consultant, and strategist. The ideal candidate is comfortable designing and creating a variety of media types, including video (scripted and live-streaming), podcasts, articles, live events, online courses, and webcasts. Success will require deep strategic thinking about the role of content in the client and user experience, an understanding of how people think and learn, high attention to detail, the ability to collaborate with a variety of other teams, and a knack for translating complex concepts into layman’s terms.


  • Actively participate in the design, development, evaluation, and alignment of content offerings. For example, script explainer videos or partner with SMEs to outline and write online courses.
  • Serve as an educational and content consultant for instructors, event teams, and other partners. For example, provide feedback on the content and delivery of a conference presentation or revise a slide deck for a webinar.
  • Provide content strategy and act as content consultant for user experience and customer experience projects. For example, consult with a UX designer to redesign a web page or write copy for a marketing brochure.
  • Conduct needs assessments and user research activities to identify content marketing opportunities. For example, conduct a usability test or write market research survey questions.
  • Implement and assess content via accepted data gathering methodologies. For example, examine YouTube analytics to assess video performance or analyze customer satisfaction survey results to evaluate a workshop.
  • Stay informed about financial market trends.


  • An established track record of creating engaging content from start to finish
  • Demonstrated superior writing skills
  • Experience designing and creating a variety of content assets including video, live workshops, webinars, and online courses
  • Solid project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to translate client needs and mindset into relevant and useful content
  • Familiarity with principles of user experience and user-centered design
  • Data-driven decision making skills and an understanding of how to use analytics to identify content opportunities and evaluate performance
  • Deep familiarity with online content platforms, social networks, and online learning (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Khan Academy, Coursera).
  • The ability to organize an prioritize activities in order to handle multiple assignments effectively
  • Travel up to 20%
  • Five to seven years proven experience in designing and delivering quality content on time and on budget
  • Progressive leadership experience working with SMEs, content creators, and media developers
  • Masters in English, Marketing, Instructional Design (or related field) preferred
  • Interest in and knowledge of financial markets a plus
  • Experience creating content for financial services or other regulated industry a plus
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
