Institutional Retirement Plans Representative

Role:

As an Institutional Retirement Plans Representative, you will provide daily support and work closely with the Retirement Specialists to manage the relationships of Registered Investment Advisors and their customers by responding to retirement product and service needs.

You will also be required perform necessary job functions related to courtesy credits and miscellaneous departmental functions, including balance verification requests and tax inquiry matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage relationships with Registered Investment Advisors
  • Provide support to the Senior Retirement Specialists within your team by properly managing assigned work items
  • Properly manage assigned departmental work items related to business functions including courtesy credits, tax inquiry requests, balance verification requests and duplicate documentation
  • Effectively manage internal relationship with business partners
  • Understands remedial facets of the retirements business and space, aligns benefits and features of Institutional retirement products, services, systems and workflow
  • Directly responsible and able to explain implications of retirement transactions, processing distributions and contributions in accordance with IRS regulations, reconciling federal/state withholding, adjusting tax reportings, exception reports and depositing incoming checks, deposit corrections and service support
  • Record accurate client data and profile information that can be used by marketing to assess the effectiveness of promotions
  • Utilize technology to serve clients in a rapidly changing environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2-3 years of industry and/or customer service
  • Effectively make outbound calls to current clients
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Capable of quickly building good rapport with prospects and clients, assessing their needs and presenting features and benefits of TD Ameritrade's products and services
  • The ability to work independently with a high degree of quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Series 7 and 63 required or ability to complete in according to licensing agreement
  • Must be self-motivated and client service oriented
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure while remaining focused
  • Primary areas of responsibility will require a high level of knowledge regarding TD Ameritrade retirement products and services, policies and procedures
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
