Role:

The Sr. Fixed Income Specialist is a highly motivated and seasoned professional with extensive experience and knowledge of fixed income products and strategies, with a proven track record of strong performance vs. individual and team sales targets.  A primary role of the Sr. Specialist will be to provide guidance and support for the Branch Network, while acting in a wholesaling capacity.  Sr. Specialists are expected to set by example a strong results oriented work ethic, making themselves available to support the entire fixed income team.

High net worth client development will also be a major focus of the Sr. Fixed Income Specialist role.  Consistent daily pro-active outbound campaign calls will be made, looking to enhance TDA’s share of wallet with clients.  Specialists will perform portfolio reviews, and deliver specific actionable recommendations to clients that match up well against client needs.  Sr. Specialists will actively position new products and solutions to high net worth relationship clients, and will additionally execute more transactional business as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Be fully informed on all fixed income related products, staying educated on various macro-economic factors that can impact financial markets and client
  • Analyze client fixed income holdings, making appropriate reallocation recommendations
  • Perform daily outbound business development calls to expand client relationships
  • Conduct regional conference calls educating and informing branch personnel on issues impacting the fixed income markets
  • Delivering education and training to branch Investment Consultants pertaining to specific business development opportunities
  • Offsite meetings with branch partners and significant client relationships will occur occasionally (budget and overall economics will somewhat dictate focus)
  • Provide full disclosure with clients, explaining both potential risks and benefits in a balanced fashion and recommending and executing all trades in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Must have extensive knowledge of the securities industry, portfolio management theory, economic and business cycles, and all fixed income products and strategies
  • Demonstrated success in financial services, with experience growing a territory
  • Proactive team player able to work in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to develop strong relationships with clients, prospects and business partners
  • 4 year college degree in Business/Marketing/Sales preferred
  • 5+ Fixed income "retail" sales/trading experience
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 & 66
