Enterprise Continuity Management Senior Analyst

This position provides key support and administrative activities for the Enterprise Continuity  Program  at TD Ameritrade.  Primary responsibilities include assisting in the facilitation of the quarterly Enterprise Continuity required activities, including plan review and update, plan testing, plan approvals, and business impact analysis activities.  Also integral to this role is relationship management with TDA business partners and internal/external technical support contacts. 

This individual will assist in the development and implementation of well thought out recovery strategies  designed to ensure the continued operations of key business processes, following an unplanned business interruption.  The Senior Analyst is expected to add value to solution identification, design and implementation.  Additionally, the incumbent will frequently serve as the point of contact for the business regarding  the Enterprise Continuity system and  workflow issues.   To this end, there will be considerable relationship management and outreach involved.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain group information and template messages. Perform weekly associate data updates coordinating with the PeopleSoft feed. Develop new groups and messages as required by events or at end user request. Send messages as required
  • Add system users, assigning messages and groups. Remove system users. Develop system role templates, limiting user access to groups, message templates and system features.
  • Prepare post-test reports and analysis
  • Perform weekly associate data updates coordinated with the PeopleSoft feed. Prepare data file imports (associate and location/recovery strategy files), Import  location information and copy associate add/update/delete files to SunGard API. May require specific teams updates in software after associate terminations
  • Reconcile the PeopleSoft feed and the Business Continuity Planning ( BCP) software to make sure terminated associates have been properly removed from the BCP system
  • Develop new security profiles for the system. Add new end users. Manage internal access control process. Remove end users from system
  • Support Business Continuity Managers on utilization of the BCP software.  Train new users on system access and system use.  Work with end users to resolve questions, problems and complaints.  Support users by creating new plan documents, deletion of old plans, consolidation of plans and the allocation of plans into multiple plans
  • Support the Business Continuity Managers on the completion of the annual business continuity program requirements – plan updates, testing and program approvals
  • Work with the Business Continuity Managers on the development and documentation of process / department criticality analysis and recovery time objectives
  • Development presentations, handouts and meeting documentation as needed

Requirements:

  • 4 year College Degree; Accounting, Business or related field
  • 3+ years business continuity experience
  • 3-5 years total experience
  • Experience working with a broker/dealer firm or within a financial services firm  a plus  
  • Experience executing enterprise-wide initiatives that require cross business involvement and collaboration
  • Ability to diagnosis and effectively assess impact of enterprise continuity initiatives
  • Good facilitation skills to provide guidance to the Business Continuity Managers on the development and enhancement of their business unit’s business recovery plans
  • Proficient  Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all areas of an organization is necessary, as is attention to detail
  • Associate Business Continuity Professional or Certified Business Continuity Professional a plus
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
